We found this location through Airbnb. This was one of our favorite places that we have stayed so far. The view of Lake Pepin with all of the fall colors was just breath taking. The room was exactly as described and super clean. Beau was an excellent communicator and made us feel so welcomed. The water pressure was amazing and the ac/heat made the room perfectly comfortable. Even though it was set up as a motel, we felt super safe and secure. There was a Burger King within walking distance but Beau still made the effort to leave water bottles in the fridge. The walls were a little thin so we could hear the neighbors TV just a bit but it didn’t bother us. Overall we will 100% be back if we are ever in town again. I would totally recommend this location to anyone staying in the area.
The room we had was not only spacious and very clean, we also had a nice view of Lake Pepin. Communication with the owner was very easy and welcoming. The location in Lake City is convenient to restaurants, shops, and the lake shore. It was a quiet stay. The only little flaw: There's not a lot of storage, drawer, or closet space for if you bring a lot of luggage.
We had a good experience staying one night here. Great view of Lake Pepin. The room and the resort as a whole was very clean and well manicured. Decor was fun and modern. We also played bags and ladder golf on the front lawn across from lake. Host was readily available. Would stay here again.
Booked a room for a last minute weekend, could not have been happier with our room and the motel. Check in was easy, room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, and our view was exceptional. Our room was on the second level of the large structure and the view of the lake was great. This place exceeded our expectations, and will be the place we stay on our next visit. Only feedback would be larger towels in the room.

Last minute trip to the area found us staying in this little gem in Lake City. We stayed in Unit 4, a stand alone unit. It worked great as we were biking in the area and attended an event. Room was spacious and comfortable which worked well with our bikes. Very clean unit and great communications. We will stay again, if it's available.
Stayed here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The owners were super accommodating, even letting me check in early and the room and location was perfect. For one of the cheapest rates in the area I had a clean, comfortable room with a great view of the Lake. Would definitely recommend!
We had an amazing stay over Memorial Day weekend! The owners are great and are very responsive. The pool is perfect for a nice summer day and the views of Lake Pepin are gorgeous. The rooms are updated and were perfect for what we needed. The TVs in the room are huge also! Perfect location to anything you would like to do in Lake City (Lake, Restaurants, Bars, Shopping, Trails, etc) Even more updates are coming as the owners continue to re-do this motel. We highly recommend the Sunset Motel to anyone staying in Lake City. Big thanks to Bo and his family for making our stay the best!
